Six months after wrapping up Wind and Truth, Brandon Sanderson is already turning the gears on his next major Cosmere project: the long-awaited third era of the Mistborn saga. At WorldCon 2025, Sanderson surprised fans with a public reading from Ghostbloods, the working title for Mistborn Era 3’s opening novel, offering the clearest sign yet that the series’ next era is officially underway.

Mistborn Leaps Into the Early Computer Age

The new book begins roughly 50 years after the events of Era 2, in a world that has moved from railroads and rifles into an early-computer-age society.
