New Discworld Board Games and RPG Campaigns Line Up for 2026 Launch

Discworld board games and RPG lined up for 2026

Discworld readers will soon have even more ways to fall off the edge of the world. Modiphius Entertainment has confirmed a packed slate of Terry Pratchett–licensed board games and tabletop RPG releases rolling out across 2026, building on the smash success of its first Discworld roleplaying campaign.

From Ankh-Morpork to Lancre: New Games on the Way

The newly announced slate includes three tabletop titles and a second major RPG campaign. First up is Discworld: Readers Digested, a licensed reskin of Reiner Knizia’s Eurogame classic Blue Moon City, now steeped in Pratchett jokes and city-building chaos. Designed for 2–4 players, the game adds fresh expansion content on top of the original mechanics and is due to hit crowdfunding platform Gamefound in early 2026, during the first quarter of the year.[1]

On the RPG side, Modiphius will release a retail edition of the core rulebook for Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork, following a blockbuster Kickstarter that pulled in more than £2.4 million. A digest-sized core book and a Starter Set featuring a brand-new introductory adventure will be available exclusively through friendly local game stores in Q2 2026.[2]

Later in the year, Modiphius plans to launch Kill Sam Vimes, a Discworld card game that casts players as unlucky assassins tasked with taking out Ankh-Morpork’s most stubborn copper. Expect plenty of deadly — and deeply silly — traps courtesy of the Duke of Ankh. Rounding out 2026 is Discworld: Adventures in Lancre and Uberwald, a second campaign book that shifts play from the streets of Ankh-Morpork to witch-haunted Lancre, the wilds of Uberwald, and even the Chalk.[1]

Discworld’s Tabletop and Graphic Novel Boom

These projects arrive amid a broader Discworld resurgence. Modiphius previously secured the rights to produce the first new Discworld RPG in more than 20 years, timed to the 40th anniversary of The Colour of Magic, and that initial Kickstarter blew past its funding goal in minutes, rocketing to over $1 million in pledges.[3][4] Our own Discworld RPG review found a rules-light system wrapped in lavish lore — catnip for readers who want to roleplay inside the novels.

Beyond the table, the Pratchett estate has launched a new Discworld graphic novel universe, with adaptations of Thief of Time and Wee Free Men slated for 2026 and 2027 and earlier volumes covering Mort, Guards! Guards! and Small Gods already in the works.[5] It’s part of a wider effort to keep Pratchett’s world accessible to new readers and to give long-time fans fresh ways to revisit Ankh-Morpork and beyond. Modiphius has also pushed Discworld into performance space with the immersive actual-play show covered in our piece on Discworld Live.

For fantasy readers, this all adds up to a rare thing: a classic literary universe getting carefully managed, creatively ambitious expansions across games, comics, and live storytelling. Whether you want to scheme in Ankh-Morpork, haggle with witches in Lancre, or simply read your way through it all, 2026 is shaping up to be a very good year to fall back into Discworld.
